View source for Hiding Damage Output

A few months back I did a video collage for a gaming group contest and one of the issues I dealt with was seeing the damage output on screen from Infected attacks.

I went to the Steam Forums to look around and even posted [[http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=968228 asking the question]] to the group.  I do not miss public forums one bit.

hidehud 4 *should* be hiding this, but obviously it is not.

I poked around for a few days, read this [http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=923524 thread] and came up with the following:

* Browse to "[installdir]\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\resource\UI"
* Open HudAchievementFloatingNumber.Res
* Set visible to "0"
* Save

Apparently that did the job.

The end result is here.  I probably won't do this sort of thing again, though this ended up in receiving a free copy of Left4Dead2.
