AUGUSTA – Alton went home with his lord and savior Jesus March 8, 2024, with his special cousin David Beane by his side at Togas Springs, Augusta.
He was born in Concord, Maine, son of Bailes and Doris Beane Rollins. He went to school in Bingham, graduating at Solon class of 1959, He went into Air Force and after that he worked at several places such as KV Cap and Nabisco Biscuit Co.
Alton was a life member of the Elks in Skowhegan.
His passion was traveling, he loved to drive anywhere, he loved life and would be a friend to anyone, he loved sports, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics.
Alton was predeceased by wife Jean; father Bailes and mother Doris Rollins; sisters Charlene and Lois, baby brother; granddaughters Melissa and Melinda; grandparents Charles and Cecilia Rollins, Eugene and Julia Beane.
He is survived by daughter Tiffani, daughter Jennie, stepsons David Coates, Chad Theriault, stepdaughters Jennifer Theriault, Gwen Pawlowski and husband Bob; grandchildren Sierra, Logan, Ian; great grandchildren Aiden and Max; several step grandchildren.
He is also survived by sister Carla Mayhew; nephews James L. Mayhew III and wife Karen, Sydney and wife Pam Mayhew. Alton also had a very long dear friend Bobbie Quirion and her family which he adored. Also, a longtime friend Bob Thing.
