He was born in Concord, Maine, son of Bailes and [[Doris Rollins Heald|Doris Beane Rollins]]. He went to school in Bingham, graduating at Solon class of 1959, He went into Air Force and after that he worked at several places such as KV Cap and Nabisco Biscuit Co.

AUGUSTA – Alton went home with his lord and savior Jesus March 8, 2024, with his special cousin David Beane by his side at Togas Springs, Augusta.

He was born in Concord, Maine, son of Bailes and Doris Beane Rollins. He went to school in Bingham, graduating at Solon class of 1959, He went into Air Force and after that he worked at several places such as KV Cap and Nabisco Biscuit Co.

Alton was a life member of the Elks in Skowhegan.

His passion was traveling, he loved to drive anywhere, he loved life and would be a friend to anyone, he loved sports, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics.
